Can anyone give an overview of the repertoire :
Pert vs
Tarrasch : 3...Nf6 ...which black system after 3...Nf6 ?
KIA : ?
Exchange variation : ?
Advance : 5...Bd7 Euwe system
This information will be critical in my decision to buy this DVD or not.
Got the DVD just few minutes ago (with Tiviakov DVD and E.Berg'sbook)...
WARNING: don't assume this post is a review !! ...just one minute content check....opening book with this format (commented games + database) looks like NiC Survey or Uhlmann's book (French Defence)...usually, very informative, good texts and assessments....I will not recommend it for players which prefer lines (raw moves and not so much explanations).
DVD is organized as 23 main commented games (video/text), questions/answers and additional database (682 games)
Tarrasch Nf6:
- two main commented games deals with 5.f4 (Krupkova,Gleizerov,Stockholm 1997 and Itratescu-Gleizerov, 1997)
- two main commented games for the "universal system" with a fianchetto line as Black (Sethuraman- Ganguly,2006 and Quillian-Pert)
- one main commented game for the "closed main line" (Sarakauskas-Pert,2013) and one for "side line" and Rasulov-Volkov)
KIA:
- one main commented game (Greet-Pert, 2000) with a 4...Nc6 system
Exchange variation:
- two commented games and...I believe (from my 2 minutes hearing of Introduction video) that system for Black is the opposite castling system,..., best explained in one of Neil McDonald's books about French
Advance:
- one main commented game (Howell-Pert) with the Euwe system and a further Nge7 line
