The book had the effect good books usually have: it made the stupids more stupid, the intelligent more intelligent and the other thousands of readers remained unchanged.

This is especially important because THE main Anti-Sicilian line (3 Bb5) just doesn't work against 2...e6, so you'll see a lot of 3 c3.

In his game against Judit Polgar in the London Classic of 2012, Adams makes the case for playing 3. g3. A main idea seems to be to make 3. ..Nc6 4. Bg2 d5 5. exd5 exd5 6. d4  work for White with other variations as seen in the game against Judit and other opponents.

There's at least one nasty little trap which can run

If they just block the check with 8. .. Be7, you can take on d4 and then play Qe5. They also have 8. .. Ne6 but that doesn't work out too well after 9. Ne5 Bf5 10. c4
