I found tervelserafimov.com but in fact it does not mention this new book (you might want to change that). It does feature "Emotional Intelligence in Chess" which is for me a far more interesting title.

I don't like your website. It needs more links. In the Gallery there are photos of book covers, these should all link to a page describing the book and/or link to a shop where it can be purchased, for example privatechess.com .

Hello all users. My name is Tervel Serafimov. I am an IM and the author of the book 'Austrian Defence', which was released for the first time in 2011. Today, it was just released in English a few days ago. If someone needs more information about the book and the price, you might visit my personal site (it is easy to find it by Google, I can't a right to write it here) and contact me by email.

Which is?

Available in other published materials by other authors.  One such offering in Schandorff Playing 1. d4 which happened to be published prior  to the Bezgodov work.

Also, I think the path to easy position for White was established long ago in Portisch-Bronstein, Monto Carlo 1969 and Beezgodov offers no improvements for Black in that line which sees White get clear end game advantage with rooks on open files and seizing the 7th.

I own the book, tried to make it work for myself and found myself defending miserable positions.  I wanted very much for it to be a good 'surprise weapon for Black' but could not make it this for myself.

All that said, I am keeping the book because it has some decent ideas and seems a sincere labor of love by the author.

I am fide rated 2000

Nobody seems to have mentioned "The Double Queen's Gambit" ?!

https://www.newinchess.com/media/wysiwyg/product_pdf/9023.pdf

Any opinions on this book?

As good a book as one could offer up on a very dubious opening in order to make it look viable.    Perhaps worthwhile to add to a collection and for some interesting ideas but omits one of the very best lines White can play against the system.

I am looking for any information on the symmetrical defense (1. d4 d5 2. c4 c5). It is probably not really sound but I would nevertheless like to learn a little bit more about it from black's perspective. I am also interested in the history of the line. Seems like Austrian masters like Grünfeld and Haberditz digged into the line. Is there any good recent treatment around? Thanks for hints and help!
