The line is also briefly mentioned in The Even More Flexible French.

Berg as mentioned. Also Watson in Play The French 4 gives this line two pages (p.133-134).

Have a nice day.

Clearly still an entirely serious option - it gets a chapter and ~25 pages of fairly dense analysis in Volume 3 of Berg's quality chess book.

A black repertoire book that, so there's obviously some stuff missing.
(Along with hundreds of pages of not very relevant things!).

That massive 3.. Nf6, Bd3/Nge2 etc main line I presume.

Best bet probably actually the French section of chess publishing, although I can't guarantee any games in that specific line. Tons of other information of course Smiley

The modern ones I can think of that cover it are repertoire books for black (Watson/Berg both give 11.. Qc7 for black so will cover this), and so - while very good books - not really worth it just for this.

The last comprehensive books on the French (Pedersen/Psahkis) were quite a while ago now, although still useful if you can track down a copy.

Hi,

You're going to have to include the first 12 moves. I can only guess which position you're talking about.

Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if there are any books or media that cover 12.g3 as a response to 11...Qc7? I have the "How to Beat the French Defence" book by Tzermiadianos and it only talks about the main line 12.Bg5, but 12.g3 seems to score well and is straight-forward.
If you don't know of any related media, your opinions of this variation are welcome!
