Indeed, strange, there were other sites complaining about this behaviour, but at YaBB they said they couldn't duplicate it. Roll Eyes

Another thread appears to have disappeared. One of the larger scandanavian threads on the portuguese gambit i think has gone missing. Last posts where by Smurfo earlier in the week...

I've just checked on the YaBB support Forum and this is, indeed, a recently reported bug, so they will doubtless fix it pretty soon. Smiley

Yes, you might be right, there have been a few spammers recently and so I've been deleting a lot of empty posts (and maybe other Moderators have been doing likewise), including one in that thread. So, maybe it 'lost' its date and ended up buried on one of the older pages. Undecided

I don't think it's actually disappeared, it's just moved to the very end of the list. Probably the reason is the deletion of spam, as you suggested.

I noticed some spam posts - I can't remember, but was one in this thread? I wonder if for some reason modding a post might occasionally cause the thread to disappear?

Strange!

I checked to make sure the thread hadn't been deleted. It still shows up in your last 20 posts, but you're right. It seems to have disappeared. I have no explanation for it.

Hi, I just checked by to see if anyone had responded in the following recent thread: http://www.chesspub.com/cgi-bin/chess/YaBB.pl?num=1434195586/5#5

But it doesn't show up in the General section, though I could find it with the search function.

Any idea what causes this? I think we've had at least one thread about a year ago that disappeared and came back a couple of days later, so could it be a bug in the YaBB code?
