Bump!
Any further thoughts on this text?
My opinion thus far is that K is very much concerned with theoretical viability, likely with a heavy duty PC, but less so with what I might term 'usability', which is quite important for those of us who are not softwares.
A number of the lines seem quite unfriendly.

I did notice that 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 g6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Qxd4!? was not covered, which is sort of a bummer, since that's kind of a critical try.

In my awareness 4. Qxd4 used to be pretty much the main move, and commonly viewed as leading to +=.  Though apparently it has lost some of its theoretical luster, perhaps this history comes into play in not considering it an "Anti-Sicilian" (maybe along with Kotronias being an "old guy"?) ...

I have been perusing the analysis at my leisure and generally like the recommendations - though I did notice that 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 g6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Qxd4!? was not covered, which is sort of a bummer, since that's kind of a critical try.

I have it, it is excellent as all QC books are. I like most of the lines given. I would have like to have seen the Prins and 5.Bd3 in the Open as they are not covered in the QC Open Sicilian books on the Dragon or Sveshnikov.

But well worth getting, any more queries just ask  Smiley

Thanks for the kind offer! I haven't had time to look at the recommendations in detail, been busy trying to prepare the Caro-Kann based on Houska's book.

Sorry, my mistake, wrong variation. The one I was thinking of was after 4. Bc4, not after 5. Bc4. The comment is in Experts on the Anti-Sicilian, btw.

I was a bit surprised to see that after 1. e4 c5 2. c3 Nf6 3. e5 Nd5 4. d4 cxd4 5. Bc4, the recommendation is 5...Qc7!?, because I think I have seen a comment on the variation basically saying it is tough for Black.

Well, 5...Qc7 is the traditional main move; at least in older books you might find it given as "!" and as casting doubt on 5. Bc4.  I'd be surprised if it is difficult for Black.
Incidentally Kotronias recently wrote a 7-part series on 2. c3 in Informator (that is, it stretched over 1.75 years ...).

Has anybody bought the book yet? What are your impressions?

I have only briefly looked at some lines, but I like it since it fits well with my current repertoire and yet adds more analysis in concrete lines.
