Seems playable for Black, I have checked it with the computer.
But you really have to know the lines, as there are some only moves for Black.

Question to Malaniuks "The Leningrad Dutch"

Hello,

I got a question regarding a variation in Malaniuks book "The Leningrad Dutch": According to the table of contents he recommends in the main line after 8. b3 e5 instead of Kindermanns recommendation of (the safer) Nf6. I do not own a copy of the Malaniuk book so I wanted to ask whether anybody would be willing to tell me what his opinion is about the "critical" test (according to Kindermann) 9. de5 de5 10. e4.

Thx in advance and regards

Julian
