Yes, for the bigger stars it depends on whether you're a moderator, administrator, etc. and for the smaller stars it depends on whether you are a God Member, Senior Member, etc. which in turn depends on the number of posts you've made.

What do the stars next to user ID mean?   

I see some are gold and some are blue and some are not colored at all and some people have five and some only one.

Is there some actual significance and meaning?
