I think it's a good starting point and probably sufficient for amateur players. But to be fair, you aren't going to force an advantage against the Grunfeld, so while it's good to be confident in your opening (which you will be as the author claims an edge for White everywhere from memory), if you work on the lines with the computer, you'll see how Black is able to either neutralise White's edge or equalise altogether.

Flashman's example is a case in point, though I'd concluded in my analyses that there are other serious tries for White before 14.Nd2.

One other point - it may have been a missed opportunity to leave out the 4.Qb3 dxc4 5.Qxc4 Bg7 6.e4 0-0 7.Be2 move order in the database, as this avoids a few lines. True, the Nf3 move order can be played by 1.Nf3/2.Nf3 players, but the point of 1.Nf3 is to avoid the Grunfeld anyway.  Wink

I cant find anything for white :\ (I put Komodo
and Stockfish at a great depth and I can't see nothing)  Undecided

I can't find anything here either. Apart from this, I guess there is the line 13...Re8 14.Rad1 Rc8 15.a4 Nb8 from Talpak-Tinture 2014 (ICCF). In this line, 14...Ne4 also seems to have held up nicely in correspondence play.

If you want to investigate and push for a theoretical advantage in this line, I suspect that you'll have to look at some of the more mainstream 12th move alternatives for white.

I am wondering to buy this e-book about Russian system in  Modern-chess.
Can somebody give me an opinion about the quality?
Looks interesting at first sight.
