6.Bg5 lines are agressive(just like in any other line, but I like this lines with quick activity and attacks) and offer interesting and complex middlegames. But as Negi states, there is a lot of theory.
6.Be3 still contains some theory but probably you dont need to know that much to get a playable position.
6.f4, I wouldn't recommend that at all.

It is just a matter of taste really, if you are willing to study the English I dont know why you wouldnt study 6.Bg5 if you like it more.
If you are going to study 6.Bg5 I would recommend you to take a look at 10.Bd3, offers great attacking chances and Black needs to know what he is doing against the dangerous Nd5 sacs.
If you are going to study 6.Be3 then the mainlines with 14.f4 should be the best altough a line that was played quite a little bit on the 2016 Sinquifield cup involving Na5-Nc6 and Nxe7+ may be good to try and squeeze.

The line goes:
1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 a6 6. Be3 Ng4
7. Bc1 Nf6 8. f3 e5 9. Nb3 Be6 10. Be3 Be7 11. Qd2 O-O
12. O-O-O Nbd7 13. g4 b5 14. g5 b4 15. gxf6 bxc3 16. Qxc3 Nxf6
17. Na5 Rc8 18. Nc6 Qe8 19. Nxe7+ Qxe7

6. Be3 is definitely more practical. Pretty easy to learn also and gives White lots of attacking chances. On 6... e5 you could even go 7. Nf3 and White is doing decently there lately and you try to control the d5 square. In my opinion, 6. f4 isn't that good of a move. 6. Bg5 has a ton of theory and many many lines, both sides could easily go wrong there.

Hi All,
I am wondering which is more practical, 6.Bg5, Be3 or 6.f4 in Najdorf as white?  I know they all have ton of theory and f4 the least.  Are the returns of playing Bg5 or Be3 worth it or will 6.f4 be good enough and save a lot of time?  ALso I know I can play Be3 vs Schevy.  And I guess Keres attack if I choose Bg5 or f4?
Thank you,
Marc
