there is no immediate draw!

Black has two king moves, firstly 22...Kc8 when both captures are feasible, for instance 23 Nxh8 Ra7 24 Nf7 Nc5 25 Nd6+ (instead 25 Ng5 allows 25...Rd7 when the rook gets active: 26 Bxc5 bc5 27 Nxe6 Rd2 28 Nxc5 Rxa2 29 Bd5 Bd4 30 Ne4 and I would feel more comfortable playing Black - White will have to ditch the c-pawn to defend b3.) 25...Kd7 26 Ne4 Bd4 and at least the black rook is fairly passive here.
22...Kc7 forces 23 Bd6+ Kc8 24 Bxa8 (24 Nxh8 Ra7 25 Nf7 Nc5 26 Ng5 Rd7 27 Bxc5 bxc5 transposes to the 22...Kc8 line) 24...Rg8 25 Bf4 Nc5 26 Ng5 Bd4 with ideas of ...Nd3 and ...b5.
It looks to me like there is no forced draw, it's just an endgame which might be equal but could prove a bit tricky if White is not careful and allows the black rook to get too active.

07: The endgame plan: 1.Nf3 c5 2.c4 Nf6 3.Nc3 e6 4.g3 b6 5.Bg2 Bb7 6.0-0 a6 7.b3 Be7 8.d4 cxd4 9.Qxd4 d6 10.Rd1 Nbd7 11.e4 Qc8- Xu Jun - Suba,M [12:13]
08: The idea b3 followed by Ba3 Part 1: 1.Nf3 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nc3 c5 4.g3 b6 5.Bg2 Bb7 6.0-0 Be7 7.d4 cxd4 8.Qxd4 d6 9.b3 0-0 10.Rd1 Nbd7 11.Ba3 Nc5 12.b4Yermolinsky,A - Adams,M [13:48]

I decided to post in this thread as by chance I was using Delmuth's book to prepare for a possible game against Pelletier last Sunday (in fact he didn't play and so my opponent was Moussard, instead). Delmuth recommends this endgame line with 10 Rd1, 11 e4 and after 11...Qc8! the move 12 Ba3. Now, following 12...Nc5 13 e5!? Bxf3 13 Bxf3 dxe5 Delmuth mentions that 14 Qxe5 'was losing, but White has a way to force a draw ... if you're playing against a much stronger opponent.'
So, I had a look at this, and indeed 15...Ncd7 16 Rxd7! Nxd7 17 Qxg7 Bf6 can be met by the amazing 18 Ne4!? Bxg7 19 Nd6+ Kd8 20 Nxf7+ Ke8 21 Nd6+ when the 6 games that reached this position were all drawn by repetition.
However, my first thought was: 'Why can't Black play 19...Ke7 and after 20 Nxc8+ Kd8?' White is an exchange down and both rook and knight are hanging! 21 Nd6 seems forced, and after 21...Bxa1 22 Nxf7+ Black can go to either c8 or c7, and there is no immediate draw!

I meet the 1.c4/2.g3 system with 1...b6, but 1.g3 is a problem I have yet to resolve...

Does he cover 1. c4 2. g3? If its "universal", this seems like a problem.

No. I'm pretty much done buying anything from them that doesn't have Daniel King on it.

He left out the Be2...f3 system for White. He said he would in a January interview ( why the hell it take so long to release this? ), but the decision doesn't make sense to me.

Doom and gloom of omitted regular line aside, have you perchance looked through it yet GC? Thoughts...?

Actually, looking at how the material is structured, it strikes me that this is akin to how someone may structure Shipov's work in video format. The different approaches historically, and how black evolved to try to combat.

A speedier and possibly clearer way in (if there are any of you who do not have several years to spend working through Shipov's magnum opus, a splendid tome) may be through the Chess Stars Hedgehog book. Which is brief, clear and appears robust theoretically (from what this duffer can tell). Briefly - to combat the tricky lines in Shipov, it is about where and when to use the q knight, so the Chess Star book suggests. Interesting stuff.

It can go up against their anti-Hedgehog DVD ("Wie bekämpft man das Igelsystem?" by Luther/Jordan) in a steel cage match or whatever.
