The book is lightly annotated games divided into different chapters based on variations.
Without to give to much away some of the chapters sees black playing realy provacative lines.

It's an idea-book, but it's very basic for you, I think.

It's very interesting for my level (1800 fide). I have a background of playing the Accelerated Dragon for some years (but not too much open sicilians, I have to admit, 65% of anti-sicilians according to the database of my own games Sad ). So I have more or less interiorized the basic ideas in the classical dragon but not in the yugoslav' ones. And when I saw the book (only for 20 or 30 minutes some months ago) it seemed to me like that it was a fine book to someone starting with the dragon.

So... as a former dragon player yourself maybe you are familiar enough with all these dragon motifs.

Good luck with the tournament and we expect your comments on the book.

By the way in a few days I will make a comeback to the Dragon.

Today I discovered a Dragon book never discussed at this forum.

"The Fighting Dragon: How to defeat the Yugoslav Attack" by Paul Powell.

The book is probebly written from blacks point of view and as I understand the abstract from New in Chess is mostly an idea book.

I will write a better review here when I got the book.

By the way in a few days I will make a comeback to the Dragon.
I will play in a Dragon Thematical Tournamnet at ICCF.
The only problem is that I am not up to date on theoretical developms so this will be a challenge.

Yeah, there were a couple of books that came out a year or so ago on the dragon using tactics/common themes to help the reader learn the patterns common in the opening rather than the analytical side of things. Havent got round to reading this one yet. Look forward to hearing your views.

Good luck with the tournament.
