	The problem compared to the Petroff (as far as I understand), is in the Petroff you don't normally have difficulties pushing ...d6-d5. In the ed6 Exchange Alekhine, ...d5 can normally be met with c4-c5, at which point you tend to have to do something not so fun with your b6 Knight.

I thnk quite a few players on the blackside get put off playing this opening because of having to face the exchange variation (or its the line they complain about the most lol) I think i have seen it compared with the Petroff before (i dont play the latter so i dont know). I'm sure one of the other guys can probably give a better explanation than me though

	I always hear about White having something in both of these lines, but lately I would like to know how is the status for Black in the Exchange here. What is so bad about 5...exd6, especially?
