1.d4 d5 2. Bf4 Nf6 3. Nf3 e6 4. e3 c5 5. c3 Bd6 6. Bg3 o-o 7. Nbd2 Nc6 8. Bd3 b6  (this may not be the move order you reach this position from but this is standard london position of course)
8. e4 Be7 9. e5 Nh5 10. Ng5 (novelty played by Jordan Van foreest). Bxg5 11. Qxh5 g6 12. Qe2 cxd4 13. h4

Nakamura reached move 9 against Svidler earlier this year in a rapid game, but preferred to play positional chess with 10. Nf1 .

So either he doesn't know about 10. Ng5 or doesn't believe it.

Monokrousssos in American Chess Magazine no. 5 gives 14...Bh6 15.h5 dxc3 16.bxc3 Bg7 17.f4 Qc7=+ Filipovic - Derakhshani, Flims 2016. Sedlak gives 17.Kf1! (Re1, Qg4-h3). Georgiev gives 14...Be7!? amongst other variations. You should definitely look at his book "Fighting the London System"!

My question is what to do about this for black.

Depending on the opinion of your engine and whether it's correct, you might just accept the material on offer.

Otherwise it would be necessary to vary at an earlier stage to avoid that particular mess in the first place.

Having looked at a few games to see how the attack might unfold, it's the sort of initiative position for White, Simon Williams can handle. I'm not so sure a less talented player would find it particularly easy to make it work as White.

I cannot post youtube links yet so if you search youtube for a video titled: Learn the London System: Latest Developments!!!!
around 14:30 in the video Simon Williams shows a novelty Jordan van Foreest played in the london from a position that was thought to be equal for black.

In this video Simon Williams shows a new development in the london.  So from this position:
1.d4 d5 2. Bf4 Nf6 3. Nf3 e6 4. e3 c5 5. c3 Bd6 6. Bg3 o-o 7. Nbd2 Nc6 8. Bd3 b6  (this may not be the move order you reach this position from but this is standard london position of course)
8. e4 Be7 9. e5 Nh5 10. Ng5 (novelty played by Jordan Van foreest). Bxg5 11. Qxh5 g6 12. Qe2 cxd4 13. h4

White will play h4 and get a dark square and h file attack, see the video for some common ideas.

My question is what to do about this for black.
