Best for White might be 12 dxe5!? d4 13 Nb5 dxe3 14 Qxd8 Rxd8 15 Nc7 Be6! 16 Rxc6! bxc6 17 Nxa8 Rxa8 18 b7 Rb8 19 Ba6 exf2+ 20 Kxf2 Bxe5 21 Nf3 Bd6, which should still be a draw.

Really great idea, very difficult to refute, if there is any...

15...Be6 is indeed better than 15...Bh6 from my line

A really fantastic idea, and probably very dangerous otb, but with computers I feel that someone will probably be able to refute it fairly soon.
For instance, what about after the logical 12 Nge2 exd4 13 Nxd4 Bxd4  14.Bxd4 Qh4 15 Bc5 Re8+ 16 Be2 can Black avoid a worse endgame?

Truly brilliant idea. After the critical 12 Nge2 exd4 13 Nxd4 Bxd4  14.Bxd4 Qh4 15 Bc5 Re8+ 16 Be2 it's still very unclear, for instance
16 ...axb6 17 g3 Qh3 18 Bxb6 (18 Nxd5 Qg2 19 Nf6+ Kh8 20 Rf1 Rd8 21 Bd6 Rxa2 looks dangerous) Bg4 19 Be3 Ne5!? 20 Qxd5 Rad8 21 Qxb7 Rd7 22 Qe4 Bf5 23 Qf4 Qg2 24 Rf1 Bd3 (Nd3+). This is not fun for white...

Or 15 Ne2 axb6 16 Dd2 Re8 17 Be3 (17 Bxb6 d4) d4 18 Bg5 Qh5 19 h4 h6 20 Bxh6 Bf5 and white is horribly on the ropes.

Perhaps Slowfox should create a thread based on this line and a comparison of our analyses can be presented.

Actually I can splice off the last few posts into a new thread if Slowfox is happy with that?

maybe best is giving back the piece and exchanging queens with 12.dxe5 d4 13.Nb5 dxe3 14.Qxd8 Rxd8 15.Nc7 Bh6 16.Rxc6 bxc6 17.Nf3 Bb7 18.Nxa8 Rxa8 19.bxa7 Rxa7 20.a4
unless someone can make 13...Bxe5 work for Black

A Possible New Exciting Line Against the Alekhine’s Defence, Exchange Variation, Voronezh Variation.
     1.e4 Nf6  2.e5 Nd5  3.d4 d6  4.c4 Nb6  5.exd6 cxd6  6.Nc3 g6  7.Be3 Bg7  8.Rc1 O-O  9.b3 d4  10.c5 Nc6  11.cxb6 e5!? (Slowfox)

Slowfox has presented the opening moves of the above amazing variation in Chesspublishing on 27-2-2019  and I was wondering how he discovered this remarkable line. During the last two days my extensive analysis on this potential line has shown that currently no refutation has been found and black is able to play some dynamic continuations which threaten to defeat white.
Perhaps Slowfox should create a thread based on this line and a comparison of our analyses can be presented.
A major theme of this variation is that black tries to exploit the delayed development of white’s minor king side pieces and the uncastled king. I am currently looking at the lines 1.e4 Nf6  2.e5 Nd5  3.d4 d6  4.c4 Nb6  5.exd6 cxd6  6.Nc3 g6  7.Be3 Bg7  8.Rc1 O-O  9.b3  d4  10.c5 Nc6  (10…. N6d7 ?! Amrein,R- Korpas,Z , Nyiregyhaza op,1996)  11.cxb6 e5!? mentioned by Slowfox  12.Nge2 exd4  13.Bxd4 (13.Nxd4 Bxd4  14.Bxd4 Qh4  15.Ne2 axb6  16.Qd2 Re8  17.Bxb6 d4!? ∞) 13…. Nxd4  14.Nxd4 Re8+  15.Be2 Qxb6  16.Nf3 d4!?  ∞

Surprising piece sac for Black against the Voronez

There is a most surprising possibility for Black against the Voronezh Alekhine. After 1. e4 Nf6 2. e5 Nd5 3. d4 d6 4. c4 Nb6 5. exd6 cxd6 6. Nc3 g6 7. Be3 Bg7 8. Rc1 0-0 9. b3 you play 9... d5!? and after the inevitable 10. c5 you have the remarkable possibility 10...Nc6! 11. cxb6 e5 and now the fun begins. After weeks of analysis I have not found a convincing refutation, and against an unprepared White, it is a killer. (The above is more precise than yesterday’s version 10... e5 - sorry!)
