And how do you like it? What does the author say about going for  the 4...Bc5 5.Nb3 Bb6 6.Qe2 line vs the (old) mainlines there?

It seems very good. 5.Nb3 Bb6 6.Qe2 is the line they recommend vs. 4...Bc5 and there are three whole chapters (63 pages) on it. But as yet I've only really looked at 4...Qh4.

Release date looks next week for this book. The cover looks unique  Cheesy

I think that 1. e4 e5 = is quite apparent already.

Maybe a noob question, but why would they recommend this 6.Qe2 move wich is considered dubious? Engines already don't like it and it seems like 6.a5 gives white some trouble. Or shouldn't I trust engines in the opening?

It looks like he gives a repertoire in the Mieses based on the relatively rare 8 g3!? move order, which is somewhat intriguing.

I am curious to see how he handles 4...g6. He gives two lines: 5. Cxc6 and 5. Cc3.

Is 4...g6 becoming more popular that he has to give two lines ¿  Cheesy

As a Scotch Four Knights player, would it be a lot of work to add the regular Scotch to my repertoire, but transpose to the Four Knights if black plays 4...Nf6 to keep it kind of low theory?

Not really. The 4...Bc5 5.Nb3 Bb6 6.Qe2 'shortcut' proposed by Khalifman/Solovniev is something you can play and understand fairly quickly and naturally with the right guidance. Black can try to move order White out of this with 4...Qf6, but then 5.Nb5 seems a good reply to me.

Has the situation of the Scotch really changed all that much?

An interesting question for chess in general, while life is changing dramatically.
