Vertically aligned game notation

Is there a way to vertically align the main moves in the game notation in ChessBase or Hiarcs Chess Explorer?

A screenshot from an older version of Hiarcs shows what I mean:
- The main moves are aligned in two columns, while any notes and variations appear horizontally.
This layout is easier to read for printouts, but seems to be outdated Undecided (I guess because it makes less efficient use of space). It would be nice to have the option though.

P.S. I know ChessBase has a "Score Sheet" view which sort of gives the effect I'm after, but the problem is that notes and variations aren't displayed (i.e. you only see the main moves).
