Schandorff covers it briefly (3...dxc4 4.e4 c5 5.d5 -> QGA) in volume 1 of his "Playing 1.d4" repertoire.

Thank you...It's a bit strange that most opening repertoire books for White (with the Queen's Gambit) simply ignore this line. Kornev deserves all the merit for covering it, IMHO.

An old bit of theory is 4...Bb4 5. Bxc4 Nf6 6. e5 Nd5 7. Nge2 c5 8. O-O Nb6 9. Bd3 Nc6 10. dc Bxc5 11. Bf4 Nb4 12. Be4 N4d5 13. Bg3 +=  (Krasenkow-Shulman, Ohrid 2001).

Kornev covers this line in vol. 1 of A Practical White Repertoire with 1.d4 and 2.c4 (Chess Stars, 2013). He assumes the continuation 4.e4 c5 5.d5 Nf6 6.Bxc4 exd5 7.Nxd5 Nxd5 8.Bxd5 and gives three pages from here.

Thanks for the feedback. Is 4...c5 the only move to fight on? How about, for example, 4...Nf6, or 4...Bb4? Are these much weaker?

1.d4 d5 2.c4 e6 3.Nc3 dxc4

Where is the best detailed coverage of this line, possibly in printed form (book)? I often struggle as White vs this apparently nonsensical (but tricky, IMHO) line...
