Re-interpretation of ancient lines, if done properly, is not an evil by itself... the book looks interesting, if nothing else, for its subject, often if not always neglected by others.

I had noticed Ivanisevic playing into the ancient line 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5 3.d5 g6 4.Nc3 Bg7 5.e4 d6 6.Bd3 e6 7.h3 O-O 8.Nf3 ed 9.ed Re8+ 10.Be3 Nbd7 11.O-O a6 12.a4 Nh5.  (With ...a6/a4 occurring earlier, that position came up for instance in Drazen Marovic's An Active Repertoire for Black from 28 years ago.)
