I would never suggest turning it off. The internet needs more security, not less. But the "Please confirm that you are not a robot" suggests there might be a setting to show a Captcha or something. It would be nice to have that available.

At home my ip address is dynamically assigned, so restarting my wifi is a workaround. At work the ip address is out of my control.

I haven't seen this warning since. Taking ReneDescartes's advice not to worry about it.

I've just been looking into this, and apparently Imunify is an integrated security solution which stops all sorts of attacks on the web site. I can turn it off if necessary, but it might be better to leave it on if it is protecting the Forum. Undecided

Getting the below a lot today, while composing a post.

Quote:
www.chesspub.com
is protected by Imunify360
We have noticed an unusual activity from your IP xxx.xx.xx.xxx and blocked access to this website.
Please confirm that you are not a robot
Powered by Imunify 360

But there is no opportunity to confirm I am not a robot. Then clicking any chesspub link I get:
Quote:

Opening YaBB.pl  [X]
You have chose to open:
YaBB.pl
which is: pl File
from: https://www.chesspub.com
What should Firefox do with this file?
[ ] Open with [Browse...]
[x] Save File
[ ] Do this automatically for files like this from now on.
[OK][Cancel]

Killing and restarting the browser fixes it temporarily. I suspect my work has increased their security settings in some way.

Not here, but occasionally on other sites. Depending on your browser and privacy settings, you might raise suspicions inadvertently. For example, if you browse from Tor or use a VPN, or if you have been infected by malware that really does act as a bot (which would not necessarily interfere with your normal activities), a server might think you suspicious.

I wouldn't worry about it, though, unless it happens again.

I was composing a post when I suddenly got this message:

"www.chesspub.com is protected by Imunify360

We have noticed an unusual activity from your IP [number redacted] and blocked access to this website.

Please confirm that you are not a robot"

I hadn't been doing anything unusual, and I couldn't see any way of confirming that I am human. But I opened another tab and was allowed to post this. Has anyone else had this problem?
