Sorry we may be at cross purposes, naming the article or author was not the point of my question.....I was disappointed with my one purchase to-date and before I brought anything else I wanted the opinions of others, particularly those that may have just brought the new Michael Roiz series.

When converted, a Euro 19.90 purchase is not cheap in our money so I want to ensure it is well spent.

I have generally been pretty impressed with their products. I have bought quite a lot of them over the last several years.

Mn, mw, me. Brothers and sisters welcome - mo, mi, my etc.

To get this back on track. Asking the OP. May we ask which lines trouble you? (With due ethical care if a cc game is ongoing).

Cheers,

B

Curious to know whether anyone has brought volume 1 of Michael Roiz's new series on the English from Modern Chess...?

I'm a fan of his work but having only brought one series from Modern Chess (on a different opening and not by Roiz) I was  disappointed. Although written by a GM when I tried the lines in a correspondence thematic tournament even the lowest rated players in the tournament found improvements so the course didn't seem to have been engine checked.

Before I take the plunge with another series would be interested to know if anyone has the Roiz course and what they think of it....Thanks
