well, it is out

looks interesting but will need tmore time for an evaluation

against 4.Nf3, ...4...dxe5 5.Nxe5 g6 is suggested but with the interesting
9...Nd7 (recently played by Schmidt in some ICCF games) but not Kengis 9...Be6

against the 4PA, of course 5...g6 but with no reference to 8.Rc1

anyway, most likey, worth having it

The older, the better - over 2200 and still rising.

I like Simon Williams books on the Dutch, thus it will be worth seeing what he says about the Alekhine.
Also, although not able to get the most recent games by Pruijssers, the variation played in two of his games in 2017, is curious, and perhaps worth checking (more on this below).

Not clear to me is whether the titles, "the killer" or "the modernized" have an impact on the material of the book or are simply the "brand" from the sequence of books/DVD  published by the editor.

Anyway, I would be looking forward to these two titles, hoping that they have, at least, a forgotten line revisited or new ideas in a more playable line.

The two games i know of by Pruijssers, after 4.Nf3 he plays Bf5. I am not in favour not even in against, but saw that many analysis in books are short and end up with +/=.
I am not saying I hope to see this in the "killer" but would like to see something different.

Also, it would be nice to see, comments amd explanation that go beyond the equal given by engines.

There are lines in the Alekhine that are "engine-equal" but
i would not like to play each side OTB

The Chessbase 2019 database has 32 games with him playing 1...Nf6 going back to 2001 (quite a few games didn't include 2. e5). He's also played 1...Nf6 twice this year.

I've just had an email through from Simon Williams' website that they are working on a video on the Alekhine with Dutch GM Roeland Pruijssers.

I havent seen a release date yet for 'The Killer Alekhine' but imagine it will be out within the next 6 weeks.

I havent seen any games by Pruijssers in the Alekhine...
