I looked in my databases for Bilenger, Bilinger, Billenger, Billinger. The only player found was Werner Billinger, a correspondence player who first appears in 2015.

I don't think white will get anywhere with this. What kind of move is 6.a3 for a gambit player?

1.d4 d5 2.c4 dxc4 3.e3 e5 4.Bxc4 exd4 5.Qb3 Qe7 6.a3 Nc6 7.Nf3 Bd7! idea ...Na5 or ...O-O-O, with the justification that 8.Qxb7?! Rb8 9.Qxc7? Rc8 is winning for black.

The Billenger's Gambit

I just found out about a new gambit line in the QGA and it's so new that none of my chess books mention it called the Billenger's Gambit. I haven't seen the Chesspublishing site post any theoretical articles about this gambit line so I'd thought I'd light some fires and get the ball rolling. The line goes...

1.d4 d5 2.c4 dxc4 3.e3 e5 4.Bxc4 exd4 5. Qb3!? Qe7 6. a3

Now the one who posted a YouTube video on the Billenger's Gambit is Jonathan Schrantz. He has a Lichess handle of Zilco and is known for bringing to light dangerous gambit lines that not many people are aware of. And the Billenger's Gambit is definitely new for me as I've never heard of it until now. Any thoughts on this new gambit line?
