The book mainly focuses on 6.Ndb5 Bb4 (while I think 6...Bc5 which is also analysed is the better choice), and on 6.Nxc6 bxc6 7.e5 Nd5 8.Ne4 Qc7, while a few months ago I have shown to GM Kotronias my improvement for Black on the 8...Bb7! variation, which renders the main line as harmless for Black.
The four knights is a fine variation if you like your Sicilian being quiet.

The paper version, which I own, spends 60 pages on the Sicilian Four Knights. On 8...Qc7 9.f4 Qb6 they spend 15 pages.

The book had the effect good books usually have: it made the stupids more stupid, the intelligent more intelligent and the other thousands of readers remained unchanged.

Thanks for pointing that out. It too is available as an ebook from ForwardChess. They recommend 6Nxc6 as a response to the four knights, about 50 pages near as I can tell from the Index of Variations.

The link given by Tracke doesn't work anymore. Amazon has a look inside feature though.
The title is somewhat misleading. The Sicilian Four Knights has been heavily researched from White's point of view by GM Kotronias and IM Semkov in their Attacking the Flexible Sicilian. Depending on definition Black's play may be sound, but simple it is not. The good news for Black is that White's play is even more complicated. An example is the corr game Sheppard-Troia from 2008; White played Ke2 with the bishop still on f1. Or "note how these central black pawns in fact shield our own king from the enemy attacks".
The only decent cop out for White seems to be 6.g3, but that allows of course ...d6.

Its available on ForwardChess as an ebook now.

Thanks for the information. I am a real believer in e-books.

While I don't know what the "ultimate" theoretical status of the 4Ns will be, I think it's fine for club play at least.

If white is accustomed to sharp opposite side castling, typical of many Sicilian lines, the 4Ns will take him out of his comfort zone. It's an entirely different type of game.

I hope this book becomes available in a playable electronic format such as CBV (Chess Base), PGN (Chess Opening Wizard), Forward Chess, or the Gambit App Book (tablets only).
