Hi.

I have gotten kinda good at this now. If I do above three on expert it's usually because there is some rare move. This one was not so easy though. Got a bit lucky it wasn't some slightly different version. Smiley

In the initial rules explanation, it is clearly stated that yellow means a player played that move, not specifically that colour. So it's not a bug, it works as intended. (I admit I made the same error in the past, which led me to read the intro more carefully!)

Odd bug/feature in chessle: in openings where White plays e2-e4-e5, proposing 1.e4 e5 results in yellow e5, wrongly indicating a future ...e5 by Black. Happened twice in the last few days. Did anyone notice that?

The designer said that was possible, yes.

Hi.

I guess the meta move would be for one to realise it's going to be hell at a later stage and start guessing random moves in places you already have the move green (i.e. fully confirmed).

Hehe.

Yes, I should have done exactly that. 1 f3 Nf6 2 f4 g6 3 Nf3 Bg7 4 e4 d6 5 Be2 0-0 would have sorted through quite a few.

Or perhaps even 1 e4 g5 2 f4 gxf4 3 Be2 f3 4 Bd3 Bh6 5 h3 Bg5 Wink

Wait. If black plays Bg5 does it show as yellow even if only white plays it at some point? No right. If that was in fact the case a whole new level of thinking would be required. Then you can use black moves to figure out what white does etc. Very deep.

I think for me in round three (only lacking white's fifth) 1.e3 2.Be2 3.Bd3 4.f3 5.f4 would have been a strong guess and if I had been more skillful I think I could have gotten a few of these already included in rounds one or two and consequently have more space to put in alternate move guesses in round three.

Have a nice day.

Hahaha. Almost same for me. Spent R3-6 guessing only about white's fifth. Didn't get it either Grin

Are they this evil normally?

Have a nice day.

I think I have a rough idea, because of White's 4th move. I imagine it's in your book - perhaps Chapter 3?

Chapter 4 Wink
