Due to the organization design of new Stockfish versions.... is it important to contrast the investigation and Leela as of now?

I've never introduced Leela myself. Are the outcomes totally different from either motor?

Much appreciated   Kiss

That's interesting, maybe I should go back to SF14?!  Undecided

No I don't think so. If you look at https://ccrl.chessdom.com/ccrl/4040/cgi/compare_engines.cgi?family=Stockfish&pri... then you see Stockfish 15 has 1 point more than Stockfish 14.

The tests I do are based on the repertoire I play as I use the engines almost exclusively to work on my repertoire. I guess if you have a different repertoire you could see slightly different results.

Anyway a difference of 1 single ratingpoint on CCRL can't be noticed in the daily analysis by the user.

When using SF15 in ChessBase it becomes quite unresponsive, I often have to wait several seconds to, say, write an annotation. I have used the same settings as for SF14, with 'Smart CPU usage' on. Does anyone have an idea how I can regain control? Roll Eyes

I have similar problems with SF14 (SF15 performed slightly worse on my tests so I preferred to keep using SF14). Especially when there is mate at the horizon it gets stuck. Often I have to press several times escape to get out of it. I see this behavior on all the computers which I use. It is annoying but fortunately happening only a couple of times per analysis.

Leela has recently introduced a new architecture that has made the system friendlier to systems with a little less gpu power, it may be worth a second glance.

The evaluation changes a little between the two. Leela is really more dependent on your computer's gpu. That said the differences are real, and Stockfish is stronger, but Leela is useful aw well.

Because of the network architecture of new Stockfish versions.... is it necessary to compare analysis with Leela already?

I've never installed Leela myself. Are the results very different from one or other engine?

Thx

Thank you!  Love using it to learn new lines in openings, and for learning my mistakes after first analyzing them the old-fashioned way.
