So,

You suggest perhaps that, instead of "Kentoc'h mervel eget bezañ saotret," it should be: "Better the finger than dishonor!"

re Asimov: seems the poor child first broke the Very First Rule of Chess (VFRoC), the oft forgotten "turn-based"(especially online). Hence the Robocop-like "Break the rules, break your finger".

I can recall several games where I wanted to break my opponent's finger -- at least! "The child played the next day, finished the tournament in a cast, and volunteers helped to record the moves, ...". The article doesn't say whether the robot was allowed to continue in the tournament.
