I feel it might have been a foxy

The two you mentioned are King (1994) #24-25 and Martin (2010) #101-103. Maybe ...Qc7 is covered in Davies (1996) #60-61 "Dirty Tricks", Martin (1997) #62-63 "Secret Weapons", or Martin (2015) #164-165 "Opening Ideas". But I haven't watched them.

"Inhalt" here has a list, although there are more after 187.

Hi.

t was actually the first one, qc7 on move 6. I think black played f6 at some point after and if Qh5 check you play Qf7 to block. I think that was a line.

Ok. When it comes to videos recommending the black side there I have no idea sadly.

Have a nice day.

Hi.

Do you mean:
1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 Bb4 4.e5 c5 5.a3 Bxc3+ 6.bxc3 Qc7
or
1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 Bb4 4.e5 c5 5.a3 Bxc3+ 6.bxc3 Ne7 7.Qg4 Qc7
or why not
1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 Bb4 4.e5 c5 5.a3 Bxc3+ 6.bxc3 Ne7 7.Nf3 Qc7

All are big lines. All have Qc7.

Have a nice day.

It's likely not relevant, but Andrew Martin did write a booklet on the Winawer where he recommended 6...Qc7 in the Main Line.  It was titled A Line for Black number 1 - The French Winawer and was published in 1988 by T.U.I. Enterprises.

Hi all,

Anyone know if there is a video out there that recommends qc7 in the winawer for black? I feel it might have been a foxy possible (maybe Andrew Martin did it but not sure). I know it wasn't a dedicated video on it (Dainel King did a two part one with the classical and Andew Martin did a 3 part with qa5) but maybe it was part of a general video? It is just something that popped into my head the other day, if anyone has any info that would be great. Couldn't find much on the net. Thanks.
