I'm trying to imagine some rationale for this behavior, but coming up empty. The best I can think of is someone was trying to do something else, but got that wrong. Anyway, thank goodness for backups.

Some of you may have noticed that the PGN Archive wasn't delivering any results these last few days. Apparently, the server was attacked from Malaysia on Sunday morning, hundreds of thousands of odd searches for the PGN Archive which resulted in it becoming corrupted. We have daily backups of course, and so we have restored the last good one, and added the games from the last few updates, and now everything should be fine again. Roll Eyes
