Many thanks for your offer. There is an offer at abe by WTP books:
Kingpin No 11 (Spring 1987) to No 38 (Spring 2006)
EUR 224,69

And yes, I wrote them and they answered they don't ship to Germay right now.
But in the meantime Jonathan Manley via Kingpin asked for my adress. So it might still be possible to order via Kingpin directly.

Is that five issues from WTP Books? I have used them before, they are very good. Their shipping is expensive, within USA it is $4.00 for the first item then $1.75 for each additional item. Try "Contact seller" and see if you can work out the shipping direct. Maybe the issue is they don't like to work with DHL!?

If you can't work it out with them then I could buy them and ship to you. I can't promise not to read them first. Smiley I calculate my cost would be 5x 6.50 +1x 4.00 +4x 1.75 =$43.50. Add shipping to you and your cost per issue would be perhaps too high.

Edited:
I see WTP now ships the first item for 4.50, probably the second item has also gone up as well, so adjust the sum accordingly.

I've noticed, yes. I'm still not convinced as the mail adress they give for paypal
kingpinchess@yahoo.com (kingpinchess@yahoo.com)
doesn't accept mails right now. On the other hand, there was apparently no issue so far with the paypal transaction ... Maybe, I'm learning a thing or two about paypal here ...

Last Kingpin issue seems to be Nr. 41 from 2011, right? The website, however, still seems to be active somehow and has an article about Hans as late as from september ...

See Reply #2 above: that is correct info. PayPal has both payment and shipping info stored if you have an account already. I use them frequently.

Thx so far. I have not found it at London Chess & Bridge.
I tried to purchase a single issue from Kingpin website and received this not very detailed mail:

Dear Reyk

Thank you for your purchase! You ordered the following item(s):

Kingpin14 x 1 - £7.00

We will see ...

Ironically there is a big second hand offer over several issues at abe books I would gladly take, but something strange goes on there with delivery to Germany. Many sellers there sell to almost all Europe, but not Germany. I can only guess that our country has put on some bureaucratic hurdles ...

Hi,

I'm searching for a possibility to buy old issues of the magazine.
Obviously there is this site:
https://www.kingpinchess.net/2020/03/buy-all-the-back-issues-3/

But it takes you to paypal with the given sum immediately without asking for your adress which seems strange. Also I could not find any contact dates on the site and an asking comment at the given above URL is awaiting moderation for some time now.

Hence my question: Has anyone tried to buy the back issues recently via URL above? Or knows some other source/is willing to sell?

thx
cali/Reyk
