It's been known for a long time that Black is already equal in the reversed Classical King's Indian e.g. in the position arising from  the sequence you quote: 1. Nf3 Nf6 2. g3 c5 3. Bg2 Nc6 4. O-O e5 5. d3 d5 6.e4 and playing like this for White can only be a matter of taste, i.e. liking the positions arising, rather than seeking an objective advantage.
White's extra tempo is not much of a game-changer in this type of position, especially if the centre becomes blocked with Black answering e2-e4 with d5-d4. Black can just play calmly then, enjoying the space advantage, or else play agressively, as in the entertatining classic encounter between Larsen and Ljubojević (attached).

Exploring Alternatives in Ganguly's Sidelines for

Hi all,

I have been going through Surya Ganguly's new Chessable course, "Lifetime Repertoires: Sidelines and Flank Openings for Black," and I came across an interesting line in the Réti where he employs a reversed Classical King's Indian Defense setup. Specifically, after the moves 1. Nf3 Nf6 2. g3 c5 3. Bg2 Nc6 4. O-O e5 5. d3 d5 6. e4 dxe4 7. dxe4 Qxd1 8. Rxd1 Bg4, he avoids the main engine lines and opts for this more classical approach.

I am curious about how Ganguly suggests responding to White's alternatives at move 6. I want to know ; what is the recommended approach against 6. Nbd2?
Does he maintain a similar strategy or a different plan against 6. Na3?

I Would appreciate any insights from those who have studied this repertoire / similar structures.

Thanks in advance! Smiley
