It does scare me when things like this happen. I remember when i got a little nervous when the open sicilian section went dry for a while. Thats even harder to believe than the anti-sicilian part of our forum. 

But a way to reguvinate it is to start a new topic which will get people talking. I started one on the Nimzovhich Sicilian and pretty soon every one was putting in their two cents.

Or you could look up some of the older topics and take a fresh look at them. I did that with the Riga Variation in the e4 e5 section. Any otherways i discover i will be sure to post but good luck with the anti sicilian place cause i more or less have moved on to the open but i still trot out the smith morra every once in a while. But i will start a thread here soon a closed sicilian used by Smyslov. Stay tuned its quite different.

Yes, that does seem strange, but this is a strange place.  Anyway, your post shows up as being posted "today", so perhaps all is well.  Lots of people here get sidetracked on goofy topics and oddball openings and forget about (or ignore) the legitimate openings.  That's life.
