Is it really all that useful to be able to post files?  Undecided Apart from the virus/hacker issue there might also be other problems, e.g. copyright issues...

If one could wish for a new device I'd suggest some kind of simple diagram constructor - if that's possible?  Smiley

True, we would limit it to files that can't do any damage, of course, and the security features in this new version of the Forum software are pretty impressive. Smiley

Its a nice feature, but I fear Castle Rock makes a Good point !?

We wouldn't wish to facilitate any hackers or risk another forum crash.

I am not sure I would welcome it GM Kosten. How powerful is the virus scanning ability of the new software? I am not a computer buff, but the proposal sounds risky to me.

As you will soon notice, there are all sorts of neat new functions with this version of the software (and it looks prettier!), but one quite major one is the ability to attach files with messages and emails. Smiley
At the moment it is not turned on, but we can quite easily do this, so my question is:
Would Forum members find this function useful? If yes, what attachments would you want to post, .pgn for example? Questioning
