I just put Aleksandrov in the player box, clicked on 'black' underneath and got all his games with black, the Pert game is at the bottom. You might want to get all the games you're missing by using the 'Last updated since' box. Smiley

Thanks, Tony, that works very well.

you should get to the right place. Alternatively, trying clicking here: http://www.chesspublishing.com/php/ Smiley

Hi Tony:
I did manage to get to that screen (I don't know how) and searched for the game Pert-Aleksandrov in this month's Nimzo update but it wasn't there. Is that PGN archive only for prior months, not the current updates?

I have this sneaking feeling that you were not on the right page! If you click on the 'PGN Games Archive' link, near the top right (underneath 'Playable eBooks') you should get to the right place. Alternatively, trying clicking here: http://www.chesspublishing.com/php/ Smiley

There are two ways: the normal way is to simply click on the 'download all pgn files' link above the game, towards the left (behind the 'go back' and 'new search' links), but if you just want one game out of many you can also click on the approproate 'PGN file' link on the right in the download column.

Hi Tony:
I did not find any "download all pgn files link" but I did find this:To download the May '07 Nimzo and Benoni games directly in PGN form, click here. I suppose this is what you meant.
But how do I get the one game?
I did not find any download column. Where is that? Is that in the game itself or on the main summary page?

Hi Tony:
I have the same problem. How to use the PGN archive. When we find a game in a recent update, e.g. Pert-Aleksandrov in the Nimzo-Indian. how do we down load it?
I was unable to download it when I clicked on the PGN archive.
                               Thanks, CMA

It is probably simplest to ask this sort of question directly with the ChessPublishing support, but you need to download all the PGN files to your hard disc and then use a Chess database (or chess playing program) to view them (ChessBase light is free). Smiley

Hello !

My first thread was killed somehow, so I ask my stupid question another time : I'm new on chesspublishing, and I don't understand how to use the PGN archive. After I have searched for games, how can I view them ? Do i need some special program to reaf the PGN files ?

Thanks !

Pierre
