Hmm, no, I think I spend sufficient time with my cabbages.

Despite the savage water restrictions here I have a bonzer vegetable patch largely because I collect all rainwater in a tank.

Lots of tomatoes, beans, lettuce, rhubarb, chinese cabbage, cucumber,
basil, mint, potatoes, mandarins, cumquats, strawberries and my apples are about two weeks from ripe, silver beet, and more.

Every year I would go to a weekender in march and come back to find that all my apples had vanished. Finally I discoverd that a flock of rosellas were eating the lot in about one hour. This year I have nets in place. Fortunately there are large owls in my suburb that keep the possums in check.

Someone has a lot of time on their hands, 'Doubled pawns'.
Retired? No allotment?

This could be said of everyone here.

Le Théâtre de l'Absurde

ACT 1:

Carl: - I think 4… exf3 5.Nxf3 c6 beats the BDG. 6.Bc4 Bf5 -/+
MNb: -
Carl: - So, what about 6.Ne5!?
MNb: -
Carl: -
MNb: - I have refuted the BDG with 4… c5 5.d5 exf3 6.Nxf3 a6 7.Bg5 e6
Carl: - Hmm… what about 8.Qd2 Be7 9.0-0-0 exd5 10.Bxf6 Bxf6 11.Nxd5 0-0 12.Bd3 Nc6 13.Nxf6 Qxf6 14.Ng5 +/-
MNb: -
Carl: -
MNb: - 4… c6 is the refutation of the BDG, because White has nothing but 5.Bc4 exf3 6.Nxf3 Bf5
Carl: - Eh… Milner Barry played 5.fxe4. Richter and Veresov would probably go 5.Bg5. Diemer played 5.Nxe4.
MNb: -
David: - 4… exf3 5.Nxf3 c6 looks worrying due to these recent corr games.
Carl: - I trust one of those players, and he picks 6.Bc4 Bf5 7.Bg5. So maybe that’s White’s best try.
MNb: - YOU ARE A TYPICAL BIASED BDG-FANATIC!
Carl: - Que?
MNb: - YOU HAVE NO PROOF! SHOW ME MOVES AND ANALYSIS!
Carl: - Proof of what? I have no thesis to prove
MNb: - YOU ARE A BDG-PSYCHO! YOU LIKE THE BDG, SO YOU ARE A PSYCHO! PURE LOGIC!
Carl: - But, I just said I like Black after 5… c6 6.Bc4 Bf5
MNb: - YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE! IGNORANT LIKE SAWYER!
Carl: - I don’t like Sawyer either…
MNb: - THAT’S YOUR PROBLEM! I DON’T CARE!
Carl: - Well, you mentioned…
MNb: - TYPICAL BIASED BDG-FANATISM! JUST STOPS ANALYZING! SHOW ME MOVES!
Carl: - Are you serious? You haven’t reacted to a single move or analysis yet, but OK; how is your “refutation” doing then? 4… c5 5.d5 exf3 6.Nxf3 a6 7.Bg5 e6 8.Qd2 Be7 9.0-0-0 exd5 10.Bxf6 Bxf6 11.Nxd5 0-0 12.Bd3 Nc6 13.Nxf6 Qxf6 14.Ng5 +/- where you kind of “stopped analyzing”
MNb: - YAAAAAWN! YOU ARE BORING. FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO QUARREL.
Carl: - What a waste. You addressed me. Your remarks are on me, not on analysis. I reply to quarrel.

Rideau.

Are you publishing this play? If so, can you send me a copy?

Always so much weird identity politics with the BDG advocates.  Their part of this discussion reminds me of a rock-group identity debate among spiteful teenagers.  Only cowards like the Kinks, and so on, and ever more tiresomely so forth.

…and how only the cheapest rhetoric gets through to the masses, and the wise guys only joins the meta-debate.

The meta-debate at least has some room for argument, as theory has not yet coalesced on the exact path to the rhetorical equivalent of environmental friendly BGD DDT.

I know I've made some very poor decisions recently, but I can give you my complete assurance that my work will be back to normal. I've still got the greatest enthusiasm and confidence in the mission.

The book had the effect good books usually have: it made the stupids more stupid, the intelligent more intelligent and the other thousands of readers remained unchanged.

Congratulations MNb! A very convincing rebuttal of Carl's arguments!  Smiley

Really!?
And what argument was that again, Rocinante?
You just proved yourself unable to identify an argument.

Aren’t you the one who claims that the Qd8-Scandinavian is good for Black?

And didn’t you claim 4... exf3 5.Nxf3 a6 6.Bg5 Bg4 7.h3 Bh5 8.g4 Bg6 9.Ne5  +/- to be a refutation?
(“I think Black is clearly better”)

I think MNb sounds more convincing without your "support".
