Looks like it is deliberate. You still get the right info in the message body don't you?

You should, at least, have one "mirror" so that, if the main site goes down, visitors can be redirected to the alternative site.

I have two servers and a 'safety net' (far away), and the Sys admin guy was supposed to be sorting these out after the last problem, but he seems to have disapeared from the face of the globe before finishing the job!
Are you sure you don't want to take his job, as I'd really prefer someone with a vested interest (i.e. who likes chess!) Wink

I can't access the ChessPub website at the moment. I had this problem late last night too, but it didn't last long.

I have some problems reaching the opening theory site, since this morning. Am I the only one?

It seems like there was a power cut in Telehouse during the night (i thought these things weren't supposed to happen?!) and when the power came back on the wrong server started up. I am waiting for someone to arrive at work in England to get them to start up my main server. Angry

You should, at least, have one "mirror" so that, if the main site goes down, visitors can be redirected to the alternative site.

Obviously, the "mirror" server would have to be located elsewhere to ensure that it, too, isn't taken out by the same unplanned outage - the farther afield, the better. It doesn't even have to be same country.

Perhaps you should discuss this with your hosting service, they should have servers elsewhere - given the circumstances of their apparently not having a safety-net in place to prevent your (and others') website(s) dropping off the 'net, they owe you.

If they don't have servers elsewhere...

Kindest regards,

Dragan Glas

Very nice look! I noticed that I had to refresh my browser cache however, I had a strange mix of old and new at first  Wink

Very nice work! Just one question: why can't we the country flags any more? I liked knowing the country of the other members...

The old 'mods' don't work with the new YaBB version, it might be a question of waiting until they update them.

Greetings,

Yes, it does look nicer!

However, has anyone noticed that the flat view option (double right-facing chevrons) doesn't react when you mouse over it, unlike the page numbers which indicate that they are active links?

Or is it just me!?

Kindest regards,

Dragan Glas

I love the new look, its much brighter and sharper than the old one.

Very chic

So is it just meant to look cooler or are there any new functions?

Apparently, there is a whole list of them here: http://www.yabbforum.com/community/YaBB.pl?num=1194579334/0#0

Well, no bugs that I can find so far, and it looks pretty slick.

So is it just meant to look cooler or are there any new functions?

Incidentally, if you prefer the old look, you can go into your user panel, and then into options, and change back. Wink
