I've just bought a rather old 'Chess Digest' book on beating the English which recommends using 2...Bb4 as a weapon to beat the English with (I know I have a cheek asking this on *this* forum, but you seem like a friendly bunch!).

Now, this book only gives 2.Nc3 as a second move for white. Does white almost always play 2.Nc3 or does Black have to face things like 2.g3 and 2.Nf3? If so, isn't Black just 'move ordered' from the second move, or are their ways to take advantage of White's admission of 2.Nc3 with 2...c6 or something?

I ask this before I decide to have a go at learning the line!
