Book should be out quite soon and will be in the US sometime this spring. It's a typical Starting Out guide with the key plans and moves given for both sides, although Gawain does side a little more with White, and especially in the lines which he plays!

I am also curious about black c5-d6 setup. Rogozenko and Kalininchenko seem to say that it is not so bad for black. But they do not sound so persuaded about it.

Yusupov once said that “The problem with the Dutch Defence is that later in many positions the best move would be ...f5-f7” but he is surely wrong.

I´d like to know what this book has to say about 1.e4 c5 2.Nc3 e6 3.f4 d5, imo a straightforward equalizer.

The book had the effect good books usually have: it made the stupids more stupid, the intelligent more intelligent and the other thousands of readers remained unchanged.

The book should be out in January/February 2008.
I'd like to know whether this book is aimed nearly only for white players (giving them a "new" weapon against the Sicilian) or for both colours (giving the reader a first introduction and ideas for both sides).
