John Emms examines his variation in "Startig Out: the c3 Sicilian". If You do not have this book, You can write an email to my adress. ( masterblaster5@hotmail.it)

You can find other games in the Sveshnikov book.

Alapin 2...Nf6, 7...g6!?

In two weeks I have to play with black against a higher rated Alapin player. Based on some information in an opening book I want to play with an early g6. The main line should be

1.e4 c5 2.c3 Nf6 3.e5 Nd5 4.Nf3 Nc6 5.d4 cxd 6.Bc4 Nb6 7.Bb3 g6!?

My opening source on this topic is a bit dated, so I had a glimpse into the opening section. Unfortunately I couldn´t find any games or hints in the opening book. Who misses something, the section or me?

Afaik the line with 8.Nb5 d5 9.exd e6 10.Qf3 Ne5 is critical, alternatives might be f6 or even f5. Any current information on these lines?
