After 3.Nf3, playing in French style with 3...e6 4.d4 d5 5.e5 Nc6 transposes to the Wing Gambit, which in my view is slightly better for Black.

Instead 3...d5 4.ed5 Qd5 5.c4 bc3 6.Nc3 seems to offer sufficient compensation for the pawn due to White's lead in development and early initiative.

this is an old thread with an unsolved solution - what`s the best way against 2. ...b4. Even in the megabase I found no clear recommendation.

The older, the better - over 2200 and still rising.

For games by a decent player in the Wing, check out a Keres best game collection. He had occasional fun with it.

Well, 3...d6 transposes to 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. b4 cb 4. d4; it puts me in mind of the game Corden-Gligoric, which used to be cited in books as clearly better for Black.  In that game after 5. Bd3, Black played the French-like 5...e6 followed by ...d5.

Great game!  White sacs three pawns for nice attacking prospects (the dark-squared bishop is a monster!).  It's not at all clear to me, but I imagine that Black is aleady having trouble defending by 24.Rg2 and probably has no prospects of holding onto the extra material.

I'm also unfamiliar with the opening, but I think Black often likes to get in ...d5 at some point.  So I'm wondering if 3...d6 is already a slight inaccuracy...

This just in from the Canadian Correspondence Chess Championship:

I don't know anything about this opening or options for White and Black, but I was very impressed with White's play...
