Hi,

I am looking for a reply to 1.c4 and my chess friend recommended playing a reverse GPA type setup with 1...e5

I like this idea as I play 1.e4 c5 2.Nc3 3.f4 so I will be playing within ideas I am comfortable with.

The purpose of my message is simply to collect other players feedback and perspective on this kind of response to 1.c4.

I wondered how much of a difference it might make being a move down.
