Thanks for that, TN. It does seem a useful 'universal weapon'.

From my own investigations, I noticed that you also have to be prepared to play a Slav with a Bg4 pin, rather than the usual Bf5. Maybe this is why the idea isn't so popular.

As far as I know it is playable, though maybe Ne5/c4/Qb3 ideas (e.g. in the London) give White a small edge. Against the Torre and London you can perhaps play 3...Qb6 and use your setup against the other d-pawn specials (if you're happy with a Caro-Kann after 2.Nc3 c6 3.e4, though after 3...a6 4.Nf3 Bg4 and ...e6 you get your setup in anyway).

All our dreams come true if we have the courage to pursue them.

Hi Guys,

Just a thought there, but it is possible to play ...d5, ...c6, ...Bg4 then ...e6 against the London System/Colle System ect?

Also, can you play it against 1.d4 d5 2.Bf4 Bg4!?

I have a source of information in Aagard's book 'Meeting 1.d4', but this is against the Reti. I would like to know if this is a viable system against other lines?

Thanks!
