Well, while others seek to change the style of the usual open sicilian, we've got the Morra and GPA which white goes for black, usually unafraid of a material defecit. So how about this little-known and little-used line. Is it playable? Does it give any compensation at all? Or should I go back to move 28 in the Fischer attack in the Najdorf and find an improvement? In a database of 410 games I have in the sicilian wing gambit, white does score only 47%, but hey, below master level it's got to be worth a try surely?
