I've heard that both the old video by Ward on the Nimzo and the new video/dvd by Kosten give dynamic play for Black in these lines,  You might want to give one of them a try.  Also on "Chess Channel" you can find the Ward Nimzo-Indian material broken down into a few sections by variation.  Go to chesschannel.com for the details.

A dynamic repertoire with the nimzo and the QID

Hi everyone!

As I am changing my whole black repertoire, I have started to look at the Nimzo/QID complex vs d4.
And, I always thought that the QID was not a really dynamic opening (reliable, but rather dull, was my idea!), but after looking at some theory and some games from top players, it seems that it's not, as it might lead to hanging pawns or IPQ positions for black which are by essence rather dynamic.
But, when I looked at Nimzo games, I found exactly the opposite, that is, I found that in most games I would rather be white than black, because I felt that white's position was clearly the more dynamic of the 2 (above all in e3 or Cf3/Fg5 variations); so I may be mistaken (or maybe it's just that my strategic understanding is not high enough to understand the Nimzo!), but I would like some advices from Nimzo players! Thanks Cheesy Cheesy
