No thread on 1.e4 e5 could possibly be complete without a discussion of this opening. So, what's everyone's opinion on it? Is it sound? Or does white just win? Is black's attack too strong?

If the variation is viable in correspondence, where even dubious moves seem to be okay, then surely OTB this is just a mass of grading points waiting to be picked up for a little hard work.
