Well, in general the influence of Spielmann on the development of opening theory is a bit underestimated. The same is the case with Euwe.
Two random examples: the Manhattan Variation in the QGD (Bb4 and Nbd7) was developed by Spielmann and Vidmar on their way to New York, 1927.
The Nimzo-Indian 4.Qb3 might be called Spielmann System, just like 4.Qc2 is sometimes called Capablanca System.

I'm sure this isn't news, but I thought MNb and others might be interested to learn that Rudolf Spielmann was one of the first major advocates of 6 Be3.  The online database I refer to lists 6 of his games in this line (+2 =2 -2).  Cheesy
