	My advice to everyone here, avoid playing 6...Nc6 at all cost! Its very dangerous... You'd be better off with the main alternatives like 6...e6, or even 6...Nbd7,. AGAIN I REPEAT 6...NC6?! is already REFUTED!

	A recent game in my local chess club featured the move order 6. Bg5 e6 7. f4 Be7 8. Qf3 Nc6!? Is this position reachable from Tony Kosten's analysis or is it yet another independent line? I didn't see how the game concluded and who won, anyway it was patzer level. There seem to be plenty of room to create entirely new ways to counter the Bg5 Najdorf! Nc6 at move 8, 9 or 10 or b5 at move 8, 9 or 10 and so on.

	Ah yes, thanks Tony! - It would seem I forgot to insert 12...Qb6 13 Bd3 before 13...hxg5. Seems to be becoming a nasty habit on the chesspublishing forums!

	Actually I recommended 12...Qb6, which hits the weakened white dark squares, in my book. I will look at this line more often over the coming months, and I have also promised to do a TWIC theory report on it at the beginning of March. At the moment I see nothing wring with it, and will try to see if I can find fault with Luther's analysis!

	Hi all, The critical line was always 1 e4 c5 2Nf3 d6 3 d4 cxd4 4 Nxd4 Nf6 5 Nc3 a6 6 Bg5 e6 7 f4 Nc6 8 Nxc6 bxc6 9 e5 h6 10 Bh4 g5 11 fxg5 Nd5 12 Ne4 hxg5 13 Bg3!? Kosten gives improvements on the old analysis, but I haven't checked them myself yet. As a side-note, Luther gives 8 e5 in 'Experts vs.' and this is certainly another critical line. 	For the purpose of clarification, I suspect you are actually talking about the line 7...Nc6, i.e. 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 a6 6.Bg5 e6 7.f4 Nc6!?, as recommended by Tony in his Najdorf book of a few years back. (6...Nc6 transposes to a rare-ish line in the Rauzer.)

	If sometimes we fly too close to the sun, at least this shows we are spreading our wings.

	hello! A question about this variation...I just saw that Tony still considers this line to be viable, while I thought it was in trouble. Indeed, I don't have any line in mind for the moment but I remember seeing one good line for white in "Experts vs the Sicilian"...Any thoughts???
