But isn`t it amazing that the so called "ICC finger" is slimmer? I mean, wouldn`it make the opposite sense - the more you type, the stronger the finger?

You are seriously claiming not to be a troll?

To quote myself a bit:

Quote:

There are a lot of Playchess fanatics in this thread, who throws everything including the kitchen sink at ICC. Just look at some of the earlier pages of faulty arguments in this thread. No argument is so poor, that it will not make it into this thread. Smiley

Looking at the latest posts from Hägen Dasz, Roger 3 and Lubo should make it clear what I meant by that.

Please show at least a little bit of self-criticism before you post your crap. Only post the good arguments, leave the kitchen sink where it belongs.

When comparing, do it fairly. Don't make dishonest comparisons like Hägen Dasz does, where he lets the Playchess user make a shortcut, but doesn't let the ICC user do the same.
Or like Lubo mention every existing command on ICC, pretending that they are a difficult ways of doing something that can easily be done on Playchess, when they can't even be done on Playchess.

TELL HÄGEN DAZS I AM HERE TOO

TELL HÄGEN DAZS YOU WANNA GAME ?

TELL HÄGEN DAZS THEN TYPE MATCH LUBO 5 0 RATED

All of that is redundant, and not needed. Match him, which you can do with your mouse, and he will know you are here, and he will accept if he wants a game.
Chatting isn't a command you need to play chess. You still haven't named a single command you NEED to know. And you are thus very far from the 20 commands you claim is needed.

Although I do agree that tell is a good command to know. All you have to do is type "t lubo when will you answer my question regarding the list above?"

Whereas on playchess (I think - correct me with the correct procedure if I'm wrong) you have to point the mouse to a box, click to activate that box, move your hands from the mouse to the keyboard, type in "Lubo", remove your hands from the keyboard and grab the mouse again, point the mouse to another box, click to activate that box, move your hands back to the keyboard, then type "when will you answer my question regarding the list above?"

Which is more silly? The point and click way, or prefixing your message with "t lubo"?

By the way, when resizing a ring last week my jeweller was very amazed that - beside the fact that I am a right-hander - my right ring finger is slimer then my left ring finger. He told me that this comes from too much typing and asked me whether I am a member of the Internet Chess Club! Grin

You don't NEED to type 20 commands to play on ICC. Try to name one.

And please, answer my interesting question to the commands you listed: How do I do those things in the Playchess interface?
(I suspect that those things can't be done)

And? I compare the same thing, the daily process of getting an opponent. The formula doesn`t count, as I do this one time in my whole server life, but I compare here the daily process of getting quickly an opponent.

Yes, but do the same thing on ICC.
Set your ICC formula once in your whole server life, click a button, and you get a game on ICC.

OK, you dont need 100 commands to play on ICC, but at least you need 20, and even thats way too much. Software is produced to make things easier. The ICC surface remind me back my old school days, long time before Windows, when teachers tortured me with a programme called BASIC.
