I'm curious too. Especially with how it will compare to Emms' book, aside from including a defense to the Ruy Lopez.

I'm not that familiar with all the lines. Looking at Khalifman's book, it seems that Davies has been playing the Graf variation - a line that Khalifman (and Bezgodov) found good for white.

Don't check me with no lightweight stuff.

The Chigorin system is my guess. Keres variation seems to be his preference.

Hello,

at amazon.com I´ve seen the following announcement:

Play 1e4 e5 - A complete Repertoire for Black by Nigel Davies
Everyman Publishers, November 2005, 160 pages, 24 Euro

Maybe here is the right place to ask for some "secret" inside information !?
Especially, what´ll be the recommended line against the Ruy ?!

PS: For sure I´ll buy (at least) three copies anyway,
one for me and two christmas gifts for my fellows.
