Hmmm.... p'haps not luck...... Clearly Sevilla played miles better. All credit to a small footballing town nonetheless.

Anyway it is official now Blind is sacked. I personally like him, but I think this is the right decision. Some last-minute rescues cant take away that the team has played appallingly bad considering the players in the field.

We won the cup 2-1
2 goals of Huntelaar (do I hear dutch national team ) did it. One major complaint though, the refereeing was ridiculous at times (both teams suffered from this). Gave 2 red cards which werent warranted, gives a yellow for protesting, misses a kick in the face and some other stuff I forgot.

Leaves me absolutely cold. I like it though, when FC Twente defeats Ajax on its 100th anniversary.
PS Sadness, sadness. Heerenveen has eliminated my favourites convincingly.

Sure. That only adds to my dislike. But I remain an optimist; hence my profecy. And sometimes my profecies come true.  
My dislike for Ajax disappears immediately, like snow in the sun, when its players are selected for the Orange team though. 

I really cannot imagine why. No team deserves less to qualify for the Champions League than Ajax. I mean, if Ajax has so many problems with a modest team like FC Groningen, what will happen next season?
Don't worry. Ajax will be eliminated by some 3rd rate Spanish, English or Italian team in the preliminaries and maybe survive first round in the UEFA Cup next season.  
For your info, Woofwoof: dislike of Ajax is incurable. About one third of the population in The Netherlands suffers from it. Also one third is Ajax fanatic; the rest does not like football in general. This makes sure, that Eredivisie is fun every year, even if the level is clearly lower than in some other countries with too much money.

Yeah Utrecht just collapsed at the end of the season, 5 losses in a row. On the bright side it will save me on taxes due to police support for the UEFA games
